Sarah's work is accredited by the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). She is a registered BAPAM (British Association for Performing Arts Medicine) practitioner, a Sesame Practitioner and a member of CPA (Climate Psychology Alliance)
Sarah had wanted to set up an outdoor centre for many years and opened The Garden following the Covid pandemic and making a decision to leave behind working in Higher Education.
The Garden brings together her interests in creativity, playfulness, the natural world, seasons and cycles. She believes that, given the chance, people can gain trust in their own knowing and experiencing and be more fully connected to the world and alive in themselves.
After completing a degree in Fine Art Sarah moved on to study person-centred counselling at the University of East Anglia and has been working as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist for over 25 years. She worked in Higher Education counselling staff and students in universities for many years and has taught counselling and psychotherapy up to degree level in adult education, FE and HE. Sarah is a qualified clinical supervisor and has worked in specialist services for musicians, performers, creatives and survivors of domestic abuse. She is a writer, practicing musician and fine artist and loves to support people to find and develop their creativity, self expression and live in a way which communicates their unique gift to the world.
